The
main philosophy behind the Baltic 152 is to create a yacht with conservative
long overhangs and with a styling that could be classified as a traditional
clean look. Simplicity shall dominate through the entire design, with
a special emphasis on sound insulation and smooth operations.
One of the key factors that influence a Super Yacht’s
performance and handling characteristics is the displacement.
The target displacement for this project is a fraction of what
is “normal” for this size of yachts. The only way
to achieve this is to use high technology and the best materials
available plus also develop a keel design with an ample sailing
draft but with possibilities to reduce the keel draft to access
harbors. This plus the task of building a nice interior without
adding unnecessary weight is a challenge and inspiration to everybody
involved. The interiors will have fabric or leather panels in
combination with traditional Baltic wooden interior. This styling
is to be combined with the highest technology and performance.
This new project is another co-operation between Naval Architect
Judel/Vrolijk and Baltic Yachts.
