A major refit was carried out on
IPERO at Boatyard Palma in 1998 which included removing / checking / replacing
both ballast keel
and rudder. Also removing the rig for servicing and painting spars. Also
Awlgrip painting the topsides and superstructure. Also renewing teak planks
to cockpit and superstructure. Refrigeration, watermakers, batteries and
generator were all renewed at that time. Following
the refit the owner and his family made a successful circumnavigation. Since
then the yacht has been based in Greece, where she now is, and put
afloat for only 3 months sailing annually. In periods ashore she has been
kept carefully and the interior regularly cleaned. She is ashore now, and
will remain ashore until sold.
