BALTIC 97 CUSTOM, HIGH PERFORMANCE CRUISER
The Baltic 97, sold to a central European client, is representing the highest level of quality, speed and comfort. The design is somewhat traditional with long overhangs and a nice traditional sheer. The deck is fully covered with teak including the cabin sides that will have high gloss varnished teak giving the style and look of a traditional wooden built yacht. However, under the surface, this yacht is extremely high tech utilizing Carbon, Aramide in combination with Epoxy resins and vacuum bagging laminate technique.
By using high tech building techniques and materials the yachts final weight will be kept low, considering the type of yacht and equipment level, and this will contribute to extremely good performance. Hull laminate will basically be in Carbon fiber with some additional Aramide in the outside skins for added impact resistance. The deck and structural bulkheads are in Carbon sandwich laminates. All laminates are in Epoxy resins and vacuum bagged plus post cured at higher temperatures for maximum strength and durability. The Baltic 97 has a high but realistic equipment level for its size.
