CUSTOM DIVISION
Baltic Yachts have, since the start of the company in 1973,
built custom yachts in sizes ranging from 38 to 100 FT L.O.A.
Custom yachts were in the beginning a fairly small part of the
business but nevertheless an important part of the company's
activities. The custom division gave not only a small addition
to the business but more importantly, increased the company's
technical knowledge and possibilities to develop new methods
and materials in a way that would not have been possible with
only standard model production. The custom yachts also gave us
the possibilities to work together with owners, designers, consultants,
etc. that we perhaps otherwise would not have worked with, hence
providing us with additional input and challenges. In other words,
the Custom Division has been a main factor in the technical development
process of our company.
The Custom Division has played an important role in the fact
that our company has been on the frontier of development when
it comes to sandwich construction, vacuum bagged Epoxy laminates,
use of high quality fibers (Carbon, Aramide, S-glass etc) and
use of pre-preg laminates cured at high temperature, etc.
The Custom yachts built spans over sizes from 38 to 100 FT
and also from utmost extreme racing constructions to the most
comfortable high performance cruising yachts.

The above represents some of the earlier custom projects,
all of them high-tech for their time, all using sandwich construction,
high-tech fibers and high grade resins with the more extreme
ones using vacuum bagging laminating methods.
Lately the custom side of the business has increased and become
